On Jan.16th,the seminar on Global Finance and Trade in Post-pandemic World was hosted by the School of Business,with the theme of the impacts of Covid-19 on the economic and financial ecosystem of both developed countries and emerging market countries.
Professor Xuesheng Chen,Deputy Dean of the School of Business,delivered a speech at the opening of the seminar. Susan Sharma,who is the Professor of the Deakin University and the chief editor of Emerging Markets Finance and Trade made a keynote speech. Scholars from both institutions and universities,including the APAEA,Renmin University of China,Jilin University,Xiamen University,Capital University of Economics and Business(CUEB)and East China University of Political Science and Law(ECUPL),attended this seminar via video link.
This Seminar consists of two parallel forums which are “Business and Society” and “Economics and Finance”. About 12 papers were shared and discussed in the online forums. English is the working language of this seminar and it takes the form of Reported-and-Discussed between Keynote Speakers and Discussants. Dr. Shaohui Li and Dr. Feng Liu,the hosts of the parallel forums respectively,and the other scholars from APAEA made wonderful comments on the papers presented in the seminar.
There're four papers that have been submitted by the teachers and students from the School of Business,while two of those papers were picked and reported on the seminar. This seminar will provide a platform of high-quality international resources and promote the academic exchanges across disciplines,it will also be a driving force to improve the international standard of the School of Business.
